Walks Program

Coastal walk on the beautiful Northern Beaches, starting at Palm Beach and ending at Warriewood Beach.  Some walking on roads but mostly on tracks and the beach.  This walk is public transport accessible.  Lots of short steep ups and downs but worth it for the picturesque views.  I've limited the number of walkers due to the popularity of this track on a Sunday, so please be sure you can make it that day (light rain or shine) before booking.

The Plot: An unsuccessful writer decides to secure her own place as a literary legend by staging her own murder. She invites her three worst enemies for a weekend and gives them all a good reason to kill her. Tickets: Adult $35.65 and Concession $30.65 (pensioners, seniors and full-time students). Please book and pay no later than Thursday 25th April.  Please note that this is the last play at 420 King Street before the Genesian Theatre moves to St. Joseph's Church on Gordon Street Rozelle. This social event is for Members Only.

The carbon credits have been set ablaze, lighting up Sydney for Vivid 2024.

Photons have been set to stun, so save up your oooh's and aaah's for the biggest thing since sliced organic, ancient grain, free trade, carbon neutral, politically aware bread.

We'll kick off at 5pm at a dinner venue before starting at the old goods line, and traipsing around Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, The Rocks and finishing at Circular Quay.

Join Denise on this circuit walk from Summer Hill Train Station to the Bay Walk and return.  The Bay Walk is a walk around the foreshores of Iron Cove and covers the suburbs of Rozelle, Lilyfield and Five Dock. The walk will be on well marked paths.

The Committee Meeting will commence at 10am followed by the Annual General Meeting (venue/location will be advised at a later date). Proceedings to finish around 12noon followed by a lunch get together (venue to be advised).  Please note the lunch will be at your own expense.  When registering please provide your membership number.

Join Ed and Denise on Ed's favourite inner city walk. We follow the Parramatta River along Yaralla Bay and Chicken and Hen Bays.  After lunch at the Canada Bay Club, we then continue onto Abbotsford. The walk will be at a relaxed pace and you can drop out at Cabarita. The walk is on well marked paths with a touch of road walking. It is a good introduction to Grade 3 walks.

A visit to the site of Sydney's first zoo, with life-size sculptures of the animals and situated on the northern shore of Botany Bay. Bushland hugs the shores of picturesque ponds with ducks, geese, tortoises and fish. There are many shady walks and gardens to explore. The adjacent Foreshore Reserve is interesting as it overlooks the Container Terminal, with interpretative signs explaining the terminal's operations.

Join Ed and Denise on this loop walk from Bundeena to Marley Beach via Jibbon Head. The walk is on well marked tracks with great coastal views and maybe sighting some aboriginal rock carvings.  Some of the walk is on raised boards but it will be worth it. The pace will be relaxed.

Join Ann and Denise on this classic coastal walk.   We will be following the coastline on well marked paths with some bush tracks.   There will be some rock hopping and limited street walking but it will be well worth it.

This is Ann's first walk as a Leader so your support would be greatly appreciated.

Join Peter on this scenic loop walk around the township of Glenbrook in the lower Blue Mountains.   The walk is to Lennox Bridge via Chalmers Lookout and Marges Lookout.  It is on well marked bush tracks with some stairs for that extra challenge.  

Please note this is only Peter's second walk as a leader.

This is a dinner exclusively for Walk Leaders in the Club.  Join me as we share our funny 'Leader Stories' and win prizes. As it is my thank you to you, you only have to pay for your drinks.  I will pay for the dinner.  When you book, please remind me of the walk activities you have led throughout 2023 and this year. The location will probably be at the Sussex Hotel, Barangaroo.

SAVE THE DATE!  Our Christmas Party this year will be a RETRO THEME where you can choose whichever 'decade' suits your personality.  You might be a 1950's, 1960's, 1970's or for the young ones the Naughty 90's!  Or you may wish to go back further to the Roaring Forties!!  The Christmas Party will be a night time event with finger food and dancing....yes dancing!  All you need to do is pay for your own drinks!  Venue/location will be advised at a later date and will be central to public transport.
