    Details:

    This is a return walk. The Bumble Hill Dray Track is steeped in history as it was originally cut during the mid 1800's to allow teams of bullocks to haul felled cedar to Mangrove Creek. The walk is mainly on fire trails and bush tracks (with a few steep sections) and takes us through open dry eucalypt forests, ferny gullies and alongside the base of a tall rock wall. We finish in the quaint township of Yarramalong for a relaxing lunch in the beautiful gardens of the Angel Sussurri cafe.  Following lunch we then retrace our steps back to the start of the walk and to our cars. NOTE: Your own transport will be required for this activity. When registering please provide your membership number and mobile phone number.

    Starting in the quaint Yarramalong Village, this section of the GNW is an easy ramble following quiet rural roads taking in valley views whilst soaking up the vibe in the semi secluded rural valley community finishing at the Cedar Brush Track Head.  NOTE:  Your own transport will be required to get to the Yarramalong Village.  A car shuffle will then be organised from Yarramalong to the end point.  When registering please provide your membership and mobile phone number.

    This trek between Davidson Park Forestville and St Ives Chase is a great way to explore the valley between the suburbs and the interesting and diverse flora it contains. We will be following the Lyrebird Track, Governor Phillip and Bungaroo Tracks with a stopover at the beautiful Cascades finishing at Warrimoo Ave St Ives Chase.     Details:

    This is an urban walk with various bush tracks, shared paths with cyclists and parks with lots of dogs. We will visit the Willoughby Incinerator (designed by Walter Burley Griffin, the designer of Canberra), Henry Lawson's Cave, and the ruins of "Fatty Dawson's" Piggery. We will also experience the underside of the Northbridge Suspension Bridge soaring above us. All of this is combined with great views of Middle Harbour and the homes of the wealthy. On arrival at The Spit we can inspect the memorial to the ship "Lucinda" and the plaque commemorating the boxer Les Darcy. This walk involves one set of steep stone steps (40 metres down), and three headlands with ascents/descents of 30, 50 and 40 metres. The overall descent from Artarmon is 70 metres.

    Join Ed and I to walk off the Christmas excesses with this great coastal walk from Bondi to Watsons Bay.  Depending on the weather we are intending to walk to the South Head Lighthouse.  The walk will be on well marked tracks with some road walking with optional swimming at Watsons Bay.
