Program Activities

Starting from Rockdale Station we head down Bay Street to Brighton Le Sands where we then follow the Botany Bay shoreline to Captain Cook Bridge - from here we travel over the bridge to then pick up the Mangroves Boardwalk Trail continuing to follow Botany Bay. There will be an option to stop at the Bearded Man Brewery for a refreshing ale. We then continue on to Wanda Beach for our beach trek to Cronulla.  When registering please provide your membership no and mobile number.

A pleasant social day out experiencing the Beauty of the Bays in and around Sydney Harbour. Starting at Circular Quay we will stroll to Walsh Bay followed by Pyrmont Bay then onto Jones Bay then meander into Johnstons Bay at Pirrama Park for hot fresh cinnamon donuts and coffee!  Once we have indulged on our delicious donuts we then ramble to the Anzac Bridge (over and under) to White Bay where we make our way through the historic back streets of Rozelle then through the historic back streets of Balmain (stopping for lunch along the way in one of the harbourside reserves). Following lunch we make our way to the Balmain East Ferry Wharf and then it’s a ferry ride to our last but not least port of call Lavendar Bay alighting at Milsons Point Ferry Wharf where we then do a stroll through Luna Park taking in the sights and sounds and having a recovery drink in the bar. Starting with a morning coffee at the Overboard Cafe we then start our relaxing walk exploring the history and beauty of Cockatoo Island with lunch to follow at the Marina Cafe and Bar and then some more walking and exploring around the Island. When registering please provide your membership no and mobile number.

Enjoy a walk halfway around Narrabeen Lake then follow paved tracks to Dee Why beach. Explore the edge of Dee Why Lagoon and Long Reef Point before finishing in Collaroy. A swim and drink at the end of the walk are optional. The walk is accessible using the B1 express bus from Wynyard. 

To celebrate Womens Week we will be walking the well marked tracks from Bondi with great views of the coast.  We will be meeting at Bondi Beach at approximately 9.15am and aiming to finish at Maroubra by 1pm.  The walk is open to all sexes.

To celebrate Women's Week, we will be walking an undulating scenic coastal walk.  The walk includes street and track walking commencing from east side of Milsons Point Station via Cremorne Point, Mosman Bay Wharf, Taronga Zoo and Balmoral Beach with an optional swim at Chinaman's Beach before a bus ride to City/North Sydney/St Leonards Station. Many exit points if you want a shorter walk. Joint walk with The Bush Club.  All sexes welcome. Please note Jacqui will be away until 1st March 2026.

We meet for coffee and eats near Newtown Station before starting our walk. Twenty two places of interest will be visited with a pre-recorded description. A nice lunch in a restaurant near our starting point will be a welcome finish to the walk.

Join Ed and Denise on this classic walk in the Royal National Park (weather permitting). We will leave our cars at Garrawarra Farm and follow the track down to Burning Palms to Burning Palms Beach and then we will walk onto the Figure of Eight Pool.  We will be aiming to walk to the Pool in low tide as the Pool is on a rock shelf which is normally under water. Although there is a track to the Pool there may be slippery rocks, but it will be worth it. We then retrace our steps to the beach and walk back to the cars via Burgh Ridge. Pace will be relaxed. We will be finished by 3pm.

This walk is from Putty Beach to Maitland Bay return including the Mount Bouddhi Loop from Maitland Bay.  It has sweeping coastal views and a lovely clifftop boardwalk near the start of the walk. Opportunity for a swim in Maitland Bay. Please note the beach is not patrolled. There are quite a number of steps including a steep narrow upward climb on concrete steps.

The Play: A terrible incident fractures the local community choir leaving a number of its members struggling to reconcile with the fallout. They form a new choir to create something hopeful through their shared passion.

Join me for a walk along the beautiful Deep Creek and up the hill through the bush to explore the 9-sided Baha’i Temple. We will finish by visiting Irrawong Waterfall and the Warriewood Wetlands  This walk can be accessed using the B1 express bus from Wynyard. 

Spend Good Friday hiking a section of the Great North Walk. It is a station-to-station walk so easy access by public transport. We descend onto the Great North Walk proper, and pass through Berowra Waters, then up a bit for some fine water views from above. Then a few more ups and downs and out to Cowan.

Join Ed and Denise on this walk which is from Hornsby Station to Lisgar Gardens and then following Blue Gum Creek to the Fish Ponds and return to Hornsby via the Depression Era Steps.  There is a crossing of the creek required.   The walk is on well marked bush tracks. Optional lunch at Hornsby RSL at your own expense.  You need to bring ID. The walk will be a morning walk and the pace will be relaxed.

During the pagan festival of Lughnasa, in the summer of 1936, young Michael watches his five aunts navigate the fragile joys and looming hardships of rural Irish life. Brief moments of freedom, hope and love become threatened as economic pressures and family upheaval close in. Cost: Adults $46. Concession $41. The Annual General Meeting has been scheduled for Saturday 13th June 2026 commencing at 11.30am at the Firehouse Hotel, Walker St North Sydney. The AGM Notice to Members will be circulated to Members well prior to the meeting. All Members are welcome to attend - please register with Denise Kruse by no later than 5 June 2025.
