    We catch a ferry from Palm Beach to Wagstaffe (return fare: Adult: $29.40, Concession: $14.70 (Pensioners & Seniors). The Wagstaffe local shop-come-cafe provides a good opportunity for morning tea. Enjoy magnificent views over Broken Bay while we walk to Box Head Lookout via urban streets, bush tracks and fire trails. There are more extensive water views from the lookout. After enjoying the views, it is time to resume our circuit walk back to Wagstaffe via fire trails and the urban streets of Hardys Bay and Pretty Beach. There will be an opportunity to visit the Hardys Bay Community Club for refreshments.

    We will walk from Manly Vale to Queenscliff Lagoon, Freshwater Beach, South Curl Curl Beach, North Curl Curl Lagoon, the headland walk to Dee Why, Long Reef and then finishing at Collaroy. Join me for a recovery drink at Collaroy Beach Club and enjoy the spectacular views.

    Strickland State Forest (located at Somersby on the Central Coast) is a special place and a living exhibition of exceptionally diverse forest habitats including wildflowers and dry heath woodland in the north to tall eucalypts on its slopes through to lush rainforest in the south. The Forest has extensive walking tracks through varying forest types; past waterfalls, under cabbage tree palms and along creeks. We will be exploring 6 different walking trails and tracks each unique to itself which includes the Strickland Falls Trail, Cabbage Tree Trail, Stoney Creek Trail, Ridge To Rainforest Track, Bellbird Trail and the Arboretum Trail.     Join Peter on this beautiful and shady walk in the Royal National Park. Lady Carrington Drive is a historic 10km carriage route and is a well-marked bush track.  It is a popular walking and cycling track. Lady Carrington Drive follows the Hacking River and passes through blue gums and rainforests and crosses numerous creeks. You will be walking Lady Carrington Drive and returning to the cars.

    This is a full event with a waiting list operating.  Catharina will be away from 17 Nov to 27 Nov so if you are interested contact her after 27 Nov to see if there are any vacancies. Catharina and those booked members will stay at Clancy Ski Lodge Smiggin Holes in the Snowy Mountains and will be going out on various day walks. Smiggin Holes is about 6 hours drive from Sydney. The Lodge has 11 bedrooms with a variety of single, double and bunk beds, all have ensuite bathrooms so there will be limited numbers depending on whether people are prepared to share rooms. The Lodge is well equipped with a large dining area and kitchen, a games room and laundry area. The kitchen has utensils, plates, pots, fridges and a microwave. There is no TV or Wifi. There are no shops or restaurants at Smiggin Holes so you have to supply your own food. You will need to pay for accommodation, provide your own food and your bedding. You will need to share the costs of car travel. Payment required by 30 November.

    We will be meeting at Macquarie Uni Metro Station and walking through Christie Park and joining the Great North Walk.  We do have to cross the Lane Cove River via stepping stones. We then walk along the north side of Lane Cove River going underneath De Burghs Bridge and joining part of the Riverside Walk around to the south side of the Lane Cove River. We will be walking on well-marked bush tracks with a relaxed pace. After lunch we then walk up to Macquarie Park Metro Station via a bush track.

    What better way to walk off the excesses of Christmas but with a walk. We will be walking from Summer Hill and following the paths around Iron Cove with a return to Summer Hill.  We will finish the day with an optional drink at a pub or cafe. Fingers crossed that the weather will be co-operative. The walk is on well-marked paths with a touch of road walking.

    Join Ed and Denise on this classic walk in the Royal National Park (weather permitting). We will leave our cars at Garrawarra Farm and follow the track down to Burning Palms to Burning Palms Beach and then we will walk onto the Figure of Eight Pool.  We will be aiming to walk to the Pool in low tide as the Pool is on a rock shelf which is normally under water. Although there is a track to the Pool there may be slippery rocks but it will be worth it. We then retrace our steps to the beach and walk back to the cars via Burgh Ridge. Walking to the Figure of Eight Pool is optional and if you skip it, the walk will be a Grade 2.
