    A pleasant and picturesque circuit walk that takes us through the streets of Lane Cove and into the southern end of Lane Cove National Park and onto a bush track along the river.

    Our walk will start at Faulconbridge Station where will follow the Victory track along the Sassafrass Gully where we see our first waterfall, the Carinda Falls. We will detour to the Numantia Falls, a hidden gem where we will stop for morning tea.  We then carry on slowly descending to the Glenbrook Creek.  We follow along the creek before meeting the junction at Perch Ponds where we slowly start our ascent to Springwood Station.  Along the way, we will pass Martins Falls and Magdella Falls.  

    Note the track did suffer a fair bit of damage after the February storms with trees down.  These have largely been cleared now but there may be a bit of scrambling here and there.  Hopefully all the waterfalls will be flowing!  

    Walk is station to station so accessible by public transport.  If driving, suggest leave car at Springwood Station and catch the train to the start.

    From the Waddy firetrail we go off track and drop into Coba Creek. Following the creek we come to the terminus of Kulpas track which we follow back to our starting point.

    The drop into Coba Creek involves negotiating a couple of cliff lines and the creek itself will involve rock / boulder hopping & scrambling.

    Car pool from Hornsby station can be arranged (approx $5 - $10).

    A varied walk covering over half of Narrabeen Lake (including newest bridge) and visiting Long Reef cliff. We will mainly follow bike/walking tracks with a short road section, avoiding sand.

    Details:

    Starting on Kings Tableland near Wentworth Falls, we'll visit Lions Head and then take the partly off-track route down to Kedumba Homestead. We'll use the relatively easy alternative route back up, avoiding both the Goat Track and the usual fire trail. So quite a big day. Car shuffle involved, and car pool from Strathfield. The leader hasn't surveyed the track since the bushfires, so some improvisation may be required.

    Politicians, Publicans and Sinners!  This history walk takes on a tour of 19 places of interest focussing on a number of people in Glebe's history including one who bestrode the Federation stage and others who contributed to the community through their professions, their sport, their religion or their watering hole. As I am combining the history walk with an ANB Round Table Dinner the walk will commence mid to late afternoon (daylight saving is a blessing).  This will be a fun afternoon exploring the wonderful streets of Glebe and learning about what those politicians, publicans and sinners got up to back in the day followed by our dinner afterwards at a local Glebe pub!     An interesting twist to the normal Turramurra Bobbin Head walks. We will descend Murrua Track via a new route (maybe 1 klm off track) to Bobbin Head, then amble over to Apple Tree Bay for lunch. Following that it will be back via the Gibberagong track to Turramurra.

    Mostly on bush tracks, a little fire trails and just one small section of easy off track.

    Details:

    This newly-surveyed circuit links a series of Hornsby Heights fire trails and streets, the Great North Walk, the Crosslands Reserve, and the Lyrebird Gulley track. It's done with the help of two short off-track bits, which involve some steep scrambling in possibly damp and slippery creek beds. You'll need to be comfortable with this sort of thing. It's all very scenic. Car pooling from Hornsby station.

    Details:

    We'll explore some of the ridges between Bells Line of Road and the Grose Valley. Points visited will include Liversidge Hill and Birrabang Walls. Stunning views to be had. It's largely off track, but following the recent fires, it's an open and easy-going sort of off track. You will get somewhat blackened by the burnt vegetation though.
