    Details:

A bushwalk starting with morning tea at a cafe then urban paths to a fire trail on the edge of the bush. This will involve a steep uphill walk to where the fire trail becomes a steep downhill to a bush track. A creek with a smooth, potentially slippery floor, is then crossed. It is then uphill on another bush track, which becomes less steep, on the way to Spion Kop. Spion Kop has great views over Woy Woy Bay, and the station and town of that name are visible in the distance. In English, Spion Kop means Spy Hill and is named after a site in South Africa where the British were attacked by Boer sharpshooters during the Boer War. An outcropping feature close to Spion Kop is named Dragons Head. The return walk follows the same paths, although if time allows, we can walk up the creek to see some aboriginal carvings.
