    Join Ed and Denise on this classic walk in the Royal National Park (weather permitting). We will leave our cars at Garrawarra Farm and follow the track down to Burning Palms to Burning Palms Beach and then we will walk onto the Figure of Eight Pool.  We will be aiming to walk to the Pool in low tide as the Pool is on a rock shelf which is normally under water. Although there is a track to the Pool there may be slippery rocks but it will be worth it. We then retrace our steps to the beach and walk back to the cars via Burgh Ridge. Walking to the Figure of Eight Pool is optional and if you skip it, the walk will be a Grade 2.

    Enjoy an early morning medium paced cycle through lush wetlands, perfect for nature lovers, we'll ride around the edge of Lake Belvedere and continue to the Badu Mangroves boardwalk then onto the Bird Hide and Waterbird Refuge - a highlight for bird-lovers and look out for the historic shipwrecks which now rest in the bay.     Join Yasmin and Ann as you embark on a picturesque walk through the lush bushland and dense forest of the Lane Cove National Park to discover the historic site of Fairyland Pleasure Grounds.  This circular walk has some steep climbs and steps and some areas may be rough due to fallen trees.  Some experience is recommended. The walk will be at moderate pace.

    Details:

    Car pooling or public buses and a ferry are required for this walk. Summary of walk:  Coffee at Church Point before boarding ferry to Elvina Bay South. Walking on fire trail, past an historic grave and a Swiss Chalet to the base of a waterfall. Further on we cross a creek on slippery rocks, where care is needed. The pool here could be used for a refreshing dip. Bush tracks made by relief workers in the 1930s lead a zigzag course up to Birnie Lookout via a cave with a table and seat. Excellent views over Pittwater from the lookout. A bush track, sometimes swampy, leads to the fire trail and a lookout with views over Pittwater and Towlers Bay. A bush track is then used to pass the rear of the Youth Hostel and then to a fire trail to our return ferry at Hall's Wharf. Swimming is possible here if we are either too early or have just missed the ferry.

    Join Ed and Denise on this classic bushwalk through Ku-ring-gai National Park. We will be walking the Sphinx Track down to Bobbin Head following Cowan Creek on a well-marked bush track. After lunch you have a choice as to how you return. Ed will return via Cockle Creek which makes the walk a Grade 3 as there will be some rock hopping. Denise will be return via Bobbin Head Track which makes the walk a Grade 2 as it is on a well-marked fire trail. The pace will be relaxed.
