The first of a series of 'Thursday Surveys'. These will tend to be slightly adventurous walks, often exploratory (for us at least), with flexible routes, maybe involving some off-track, and intended for those of us who are at least fairly fit and willing and able to get into the bush midweek. We'll tend to start very early and might go to some relatively far flung locations. This one starts at Newnes, and follows the Pipeline Track to Glen Davis. We'll probably explore some of the industrial relics in both places. It'll probably be entirely on track, though you never know, we might find an interesting diversion, being within pagoda country in the Wollemi NP.
