Why Mt Kelly? Because it is there!
We'll start walking at YanKee Hat carpark.  Then head North West West towards Mt Kelly.  Estimate of the return trip is 25 km - bushbashing almost all the way!!!  Duration is about 12 hrs on a brisk bushbashing pace with minimal breaks. This walk is suitable for very experienced and very fit walkers.
If we summit successfully, we'll get the bragging right on climbing the highest mountain in ACT that requires off-track walking all the way. The 12 hrs of constant bushbashing should form an interesting conversation topic in an ANB dinner party.
The view at the summit is supposed to be superb ... but don't hold me to that, coz beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Whether the view is worth all the bushbashing is for you to come along to find out.
