This walk is accessible by train and bus to the Central Coast. It is along five beaches (Patonga, Pearl, Umina, Ocean and Ettalong) and then parklands. There is a steep climb on a bush track from Patonga and then downhill on a fire trail and streets to Pearl Beach. There are extensive views, from the top of the climb, of the Hawkesbury River, Pittwater and Barrenjoey.  Another headland has to be negotiated before reaching Umina Beach and the long beach walk to the ferry wharf at Ettalong. We now enter suburban streets for a short while, passing under the Rip Bridge, before the parklands we follow to Woy Woy.
