1920s London, two sweepstakes winners, Cecily and Mavis are surprised by a mysterious stranger at their front door. A whirlwind romance eventually follows and Cecily marries the stranger. However, friends and family uncover disturbing clues about his past. Will Cecily escape his vile clutches?
