After a very enjoyable coffee and sweet treat starter at La Provence Cafe in Lane Cove we headed down to Tambourine Bay Park to the start of our muddy and slushy walk which took us through Warraroon Reserve, Gore Creek Reserve, Gore Cove Reserve then through the back streets of Greenwich to Holloway Reserve on the Greenwich Peninsula offering stunning views across the harbour. From here we sludged our way down and across to Berry Island for a relaxing lunch. From here we then took the Badangi Reserve Track to Oyster Cove past the Naval Station HMAS Waterhen up to the Coal Loader and it was here that we just happened to bump into Princess Anne's motorcade as it sped past us but we did manage to give the royal wave!  We then had a pleasant walk and wander around the Coal Loader then wandered through Balls Head Reserve and then over to McMahons Point and then down to Lavender Bay then up to Wendy's Secret Garden to finish the day. A big thank you to the sun gods who delivered the best day of weather for our walk.
