This gathering combines history, lunch and a leisurely bushwalk. Have a history tour of the beautiful mansions in Summer Hill, enjoy lunch outdoors under a Jacaranda tree in the most popular local cafe Envy and then take a walk along part of the award-winning Greenway Walk via the Hawthorne Canal and the dog park with its Café Bones towards the Rowing Club in Leichhardt on Parramatta River. Take the Light Rail home. It is optional to continue the walk to Glebe's Blackwattle Bay. Meet at 10.30am at the Fountain near the Summer Hill Train Station (15 minutes from Central station). Take a walk around the Summer Hill Village to see a community garden and beautiful mansions (4km). From 12pm-1pm have lunch at the Envy Cafe. From 1pm - 2pm  walk along part of the Greenway Path from Summer Hill to the Rowing Club in Leichhardt (3km) and depart for home by taking the Light Rail (Leichhardt North station). The Alternative:  2pm - 3.30pm continue walking along the Bay towards Glebe (2km) (Blackwattle Bay), take the Light Rail or bus back home.
