Another excellent adventure outing in the Newnes area on 12 September 2019. Harold led us up Mystery Mountain, then along a fine scenic ledge with soaring cliffs and terrific overhangs. Then it's up via a narrow slot, and onto the plateau above for lunch, fine views, and a sighting of the extremely rare pink flannel flower. Then over a burnt-out hill and down via the huge and amazing Zobels Gully. Finally it's an easy stroll back to the cars along the easy track where the historic Newnes railway line used to be. Newnes is a three hour drive each way, but it's so worth the journey! Photos by Nick, Harold, Yidan, and Miran.
