This walk is only accessible by car and a car pool will be arranged from Hornsby Station. The reserve is known for its wildflowers in Spring. There are a series of walks on fire trails which include Lloyd Trig, Deerubbin Lookover, Peats Crater with  the most strenuous, descent 214 metres and return 5km), Tipper's Lookout and Point Lookout. Deerubbin and Tipper's have very good views of the Hawkesbury River, and east to Brooklyn. Peats Crater is a volcanic diatreme. There is a cash only entry fee per person of $15, no concessions.
