A mainly flat walk around three of the lakes and known as a site for excellent bird watching, with up to 140 species.
The track is rough with many obstacles and occasional steps as it passes varied native plant species; both terrestrial and aquatic.
A heritage pump station used to pump water for steam trains is also passed on our walk.
After the walk we will visit the Rail Museum and from there a 45 minute steam train ride to Buxton and return.
The cost of this is as follows:
Adults $35 (museum only $15);
Concession $25 (museum only $10)
