Paddy Pallin Rogaine
Location
Rogaining is a competitive event with teams of 2-5 people. Using a map and compass, teams try to locate controls (which are worth points) within a set area. Electronic devices of any kind (GPS, altimeters, mobile phone apps etc) cannot be used to navigate the course. It's a great way to hone your bushwalking navigation skills in a friendly and supportive environment. No prior experience is necessary!
This year's PP Rogaine (a 6-hour event) will be held at Kitchener, a small mining village near Cessnock. As the Rogaine will start at 9:30am (finishing at 3:30pm), interested ANB participants should be prepared to camp overnight on Saturday 16 June. The organizers have made camping available at Kitchener Public School for $5 per campsite. Rogaine entry fees are $60 per person ($42 concession) which includes a meal on Saturday night. More information is available at the Rogaining NSW website:

Please contact me by Friday 8 June if you are interested in participating. Please also indicate whether or not you are prepared to drive and offer other members a lift. Assembly and departure point on Saturday afternoon will be Hornsby Station.
