This is an unsurveyed walk in the Newnes State Forest/Wollemi NP area. It will be exploratory in part and have a significant off-track element. Expect a long drive, wet feet, scrambling on slippery surfaces and possible use of climbing tape should we decide to go through the canyon.
It will be a rather early start.
There will be a car pool from Sydney and it could be a long day, so please be mindful of the fact that drivers may choose to have pub dinner prior to returniing to Sydney.
Please bring change of clothes for the car and for your pack and spare shoes suitable for walking safely through water.
Having said that, we don't rush through the bush and love searching in nooks and crannies.
