Enjoy magnificent coastal views, beaches and the secluded lagoon of The Basin. This walk includes short detours to Portugese Beach and other lookouts. Mixture of fire trails and bush tracks.
Circuit walk (almost) from West Head Road on the Bairne Track to Bonnie Doon Wharf, The Basin then back to West Head Road. At Bonnie Doon wharf we will take a ferry to The Basin ($7.80), unless the tides are low enough to wade across. Lunch and optional swimming at The Basin (change rooms available).
Cars permitting, there will be a short car shuffle to avoid a short section of road walking.
Meet at Gordon station for car pool. When booking, please advise if you are available to drive.
