Rogaining is the sport of cross-country navigation involving teamwork, strategy and map-reading.  The objective is to find controls (worth points) within a set time limit, in this case 6 hours, within a defined area.  Teams consist of 2 to 5 people.

This year's Paddy Pallin Rogaine (the major 6-hour event on the calendar) will be held at Arthursleigh, a farm that is owned by The University of Sydney, located north of Marulan in the Southern Highlands. Entry fees are $55 or $39 concession (pensioners, unemployed, children).

As there is no camping onsite this year, I am willing to organise a carcamp at Bungonia on Saturday night as the event starts at 9:00am on Sunday morning, finishing at 3:00pm. Camping fee will be around $16 per person.  Bungonia has hot showers and a kitchen/dining block (no fires allowed) but there is also good pub grub at Marulan if you don't fancy cooking on Saturday night.
