Walk starts from near Mittagong.  We will be following a walking track which follows the formation of the abandoned railway line (operated 1888 - 1896) which serviced a coal mine on the Nattai River.  The planned walk becomes more difficult once we reach the lookout at the end of the abandoned railway line.  From the lookout we will descend a steep slope (about 45 degrees) to the Nattai River to the site of the mine..  From the mine site  we follow a rough track (not shown on attached map) to the Fourty Foot Falls.  We then return to the cars.

We will be car pooling from a location in Sydney near the M5 moterway.
