It's a long way to Blackmans Crown - way up the Castlereagh Highway beyond Ben Bullen - but it's a terrific little hill with lots of nooks and crannies and rocky summits to explore and conquer. Excellent views of the Gardens of Stone National Park. Also some old mine ruins to explore. While it's only 4km by distance, it's essentially all off track, and we'll be rock scrambling and feeling our way a bit. Car pooling, and early start for the long drive.
