Rogaining is a competitive team activity in which you use a map (supplied on the day) and a compass (your own) to find controls (worth points) over a designated area (as indicated on map) within a specific timeframe (in this case: 6 hours). Think of it as a treasure hunt for bushwalkers. The Paddy Pallin rogaine is normally held in the bush (National Park, State Forest etc) and usually involves an overnight carcamp on Saturday night. Car pooling for transport will be arranged as required.

Rogaining is a great way to hone your navigation skills.  No experience is necessary and all participants take part in a team of 2-5 people.

This year the PP Rogaine will be located at Bendalong Point Tourist Park and the TP entry fee is included in the rogaine entry fee ($55 or $40 concession).

In addition there is a $14 dinner fee for Saturday night unless you decide to bring and cook your own food.  There will be no breakfast provided on Sunday (except possibly dinner leftovers) and there will be no BBQ/food provided by the organisers after the rogaine.

Car pool lifts can be arranged as required for ANB participants and in all likelihood we will stop somewhere on the way back for a meal.

There will be no campfires allowed unfortunately.  However there are gas BBQs and a camp kitchen for cooking.

Please contact me by COB Tuesday 2 June if you are interested in being part of an ANB team.
