What a splendid day it turned out to be for us to 'stretch our legs' and stretch them we did!  The morning started a 'bit drizzly and miserable' but by the time we departed Rockdale Station the sun gods decided to shine and shine they did (see photo gallery). Our first leg of the journey to Cronulla took us along the beautiful shores of Botany Bay from Brighton Le Sands to Captain Cook Bridge. We then walked over the bridge (dodging the bikes) where we reached Taren Point to start the second leg of our journey which took us along the Shorebird Reserve to then meet up with the Mangrove Lane track (with a stopover at the Hairyman Brewery and Hot Dog Stand!  Steve and Leah couldn't resist indulging in a hot dog - but I can say no beer was consumed at this time!  From here we then walked to Shark Park (home to the Cronulla Sharks) then up to Wanda Beach where we had a beautiful scenic beach stroll into Cronulla.  Stretching their legs today included Leah, Michele, Francois, Pan, Richard, Len, Diane, Deb, Linda, Steve and Jan.
