Exploring the earliest train route up the start of the Blue Mountains. Starting from Emu Plains and finishing at Glenbrook. The walk will be a mixture of suburban and bush tracks with a short stair climb. The walk is flat to start with and then a steady uphill climb to Glenbrook for lunch. There will be a steam train running during the day from Penrith to Springwood and back, providing a choof choof, toot toot background soundtrack in keeping with the walk. (I would like to claim I organised this at great expense to myself, but it's just a coincidence).
