Report on Bushwalking NSW AGM held on 21 August

The prelude to the meeting had a talk and some interesting photos from Meg McKone on the West MacDonnells ranges.
The AGM itself was attended by 30 members, so not many more than our AGMs. A member of Shoalhaven BWC expressed concern on behalf of his club about the running of Bushwalking NSW being particularly irked by the ‘Big Club Cap’ for Affiliation fees resulting in the bigger clubs in NSW paying less per member than the smaller clubs. The treasurer indicated that this cap had increased for the coming financial year. Direction and priorities for Bushwalking NSW were given as ‘more engagement with the clubs’, ‘further review of affiliation fees regarding the big club cap’ and ‘improvements in governance’.
